First it is studied how diseases arise and what criteria are required. There are many diseases there exists in nature. The source for almost any disease is due to interaction between the Host(Human being), Pathogen and Environment as illustrated by the diagram below.

This diagram just tells us that pathogen alone does not cause a disease nor the environment alone. The pathogen(bacteria, virus) needs a host where it can cause disease and the surrounding environment also effects the disease. In other words the pathogen needs a host and suitable environment that facilitates to make disease. For example, environment temperature cold winter or hot summer facilitates various kinds of pathogen. Also, environment facilitates in communicable disease, also called infectious diseases, such as COVID-19. In the above diagram, IoT can be used to monitor and/or even control environment and the host. 

Hence there are several benefits to using IoT in the healthcare industry, including:
